Rose Water is a solo-performance that processes what has existed before one’s time, merged with new experiences. In this exploration, there is a power drawn forth through vibrations, spirituality, and transcendence. How do we channel the invisible and the unconscious? Can this exploration create space for belonging as well as understanding what feels foreign?
My mother came to Norway as a Vietnamese boat refugee. I have sought to understand this on a deeper level while connecting it to my own identity work. The project is a bodily, visual, and auditory interpretation of how I perceive the relationship between past, present, and future.
